Since my last update in November we have had 6 more backpackers/helpers/slaves !

We have continued with the gyprocking of the inside walls and now we can say we have 1/3 of the house complete.

The Bathrooms have had the plumbing completed and most walls are clad also with 1/3 left to complete. This is the most creative and you will not even see it !

Marie Anne and Jb (Belgium) spend time with us ….. cladding inside and out !

We decided we had better put the front door on – again Dad arrives at the perfect time... again !

You can see we have become creative with our island bench – lucky I have a clever husband !! This is the island bench with stove, oven and breakfast bar. (insert drinking bar)

We have been continuing with the constant cladding of the house

I would like to say that this is the last bit of cladding…… but it is not !

There is more still !

This will be the last section to be clad.

However with the arrival of Anna and Nadine (both German) we all get stuck into preparation which is bog, sanding and bogging and sanded and then painted !! We finish a couple of sections and do some more cladding inside and outside.

French Kevin and then English Tony arrive – and with the return of winter approaching we made a big effort to get the preparation of painting over with.

This includes making the house look like it has measles with white and blue paint over the bogging spots !

Then the boys, after a good week of prepping - get on with the job of painting the house in 3 days.

I honestly wish it was and could be that quick !!

We have only the North wall to finish cladding and then to paint….. plus the undercover verandah…. Then we will have finished the cladding.

We spent 14 days over 2 month putting up walls however I predict it will be 14 months of cladding – let us hope that is for inside and outside ! – we are really over this cladding business. We started cladding with Aureli and Dad in April last year so we welcome the end of June !!!!!!!!!! (however this is dependent on willing slaves, our drive & weather permitting !) JUNE JUNE June
