Just 80 north of Pine Creek, when you come out of Kakadu turn right. We spend two days here exploring the Douglas Hot Springs warm water down from the spring itself. The actual spring was about 45 degrees !

|
We visited Butterfly Gorge but were not game enough to swim, not sure if it was croc free !
 |
| Einige Planzen sind von einer anderen Welt |
 |
| Sind da wirklich keine Krokodile drin |

 |
| Schau genau hin, findest du Jurg auf diesem Foto? |
Then off to Edith Falls just south of Pine Creek for another couple of days. There was a very nice large pool on the bottom.
With a short hot walk
(with mobile reception on top to call Mum for her birthday !!!!!)
We reached the upper pools for a rewarding and cooling swim.
This was one of the hardest camp spots to get around in the bus - we had to skinny it out of there nearly getting stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Along the road we finally found at termite eaten and deserted little tree that Jurg will turn into a didgeridoo.
A pit stop in Katherine, food, fuel and post .... oh and alcohol
!
We
stop twice more before the WA boarder,

a roadside stop for lunch.

| Dieser Boabbaum hat ein Datum eingraviert. Das datum lautet - festhalten 2.July 1856. Ganz schön alt |
And at Gregory's Tree, a boab that he carved the date into on 2nd July 1856. The Date of the first landing of an English ship to settle in the area.
We stayed there over night and the early riser (Jurg) could see another magical sunrise
