Sunrise
Ayers Rock at sunrise 26 July, and a drive around. We again drove from our camp 150 km's (still cheaper than driving the bus that far ! Even at 300 return and twice in two days !) Renate and Desi decide to miss the second day at the the Rock and stayed at the bus to relax.
Today
it was closed to climbing due to winds - yes to was windy and COLD !
Es ist sehr kalt hier! Am Sonnenaufgang war es gerade mal 2 Grad!
At this place ...many.... years ago (August 1982 just after my birthday) I climbed the Rock (nearly - chicken out when Mum didn't go to the top most point, we just got to the top of the rail - Dad and Adam went to the very top) would have loved to do it again properly with Neesabella as she turn12 in May and I was also 12 when I was here last !

Das wäre die Aufstiegsroute, aberheute bleibt der zugang zun Uluru geschlossen weil es zu windig ist |
We
drove around and explored the other side with the hordes of people at 8
in the morning-bus loads! We had a quiet moment of reflection hidden
from the wind, in between
bunches of walkers.
I even managed to sit still and have a medit, sun on my face at the Solar Plexus Chakra point on the earth. Might have started a trend as someone found their own rock to sit on behind me !

We
visited Mary's Pool and the heart in the rock. (The only good thing
about the bus loads is they have a guide, we can listen too !)

A heart for Mary |
All rugged up ! |
Love these chairs.
The Olgas at a distance
Nice shot with both in it !
There is something magical about a camp fire to end the day with - contemplate all that has happened in the day !
