2019 Roundabout

Start of the roundabout

Adding some topsoil before we put in Grass

Gian-Luca - sometimes we have our own flesh and blood as slaves !

Delivery of gravel for drive
We had 2 truck loads delivered
Jurg gravel spreading with the tractor
Job done

Woodchips delivered.

Boat painted
Jurg found this old boat dumped in the borefields behind our property about 6 years ago.
We always knew we were going to turn it into a water feature - just took us a while.

Boat in place - January 2018

Here the trenches and footings for the garage have been dug, waiting to form up for concrete
(see blog section on the garage buiilding)
Grass is growing in front of the house - we transplanted it from the orchard.

Water feature progress

The boat is lined with the blue tarp so the water stays in.   The boat is anchered to the rock so it wont float away !

Temporary placement of flowforms.

Flowforms painted.

Flowforms level and flowing

Flowforms pulsing

Flag pole and wind vane installed.  Thanks Nonno for your help.

Jurg's 50th Bithday present from Dad - Black Boy or to be politically correct Grass Tree.

Dad and Nonno planting the 'Grass Tree.'   Garage in progress in the background

Planted and looking good.

We had to make a wind break as the Grass Tree.
It was getting a hammering from the south and south west winds

New trees planted.

6 new native trees planted, we would like to encourage the birds to come to the water feature.
Love jarrah railway sleepers - the flowfoms are on top of them.
Garage sort of completed !

Why don't you talk to me ?

Gian-Luca made our wind vane at school.  The mast is from an old boat.
It is a Cookaburra outline on the top with a Butcher Bird

Gian-Luca and Julien have a archery contest.
Fencing thanks Juilien - see fencing blog also.

Do you see the bank of clouds coming in on the left of the above photo - that is a cold front from the South West, the wind has turned after a hot day.  Below are the plants hope you can see them.
