Broome to Bungle Bungles July still ! (15-18th)

Broome to Bungles

Leaving Broome we drive nearly to the turn off to Derby and camp on the river Willare.  We squeeze the bus into a secluded spot.   

Nope No Fish ! Nein keine Fishe

Now we have kindly let Renata and Desi sleep in our bed and we put up a tent !  Of course Jurg and Gian-Luca give the fishing a go and keep an eye out for any Crocodiles - Nope no fish or Crocs !

Testing the waters - Nur mal sehen ob hier welche Krokodile im Wasser lauern.

Can we get in ? NO !

Turn off to Fitzroy Crossing

Our aim today is for lunch at Geikie Gorge near Fitzroy Crossing - successful. Now for a walk, bit hot at 34 degrees !  Sadly the walk doesn't follow the waters edge - so we made arrangements for our walk to included this !

 The children (all 4 !) had to have a swim in the river when we had finished our walk to cool down - I guess no Crocs here, as we still have all 4 !  A quick hose off and back in the bus.

Counting 4 heads ! Erfrischendes kühles Nass Ohne Salzwasserkrokodile nur Süsswasserkrocs !!

Made it to Mary River Pool for camp - amongst 50 or so other campers !

Straight through Halls Creek to Orb River, where we camped, just outside the entrance to Bungle Bungles.  Park up and organise lunch and then drive into the NP.  As there are 7 of us we take the two cars.
